Looking at System Centre Data Protection Manager and found a slide that mentioned offsite recovery and tape .. so I dug some more and found this:

Humm, so you could use DPM to backup Exchange 2010 and once a week offsite a backup to Iron Mountain .. could save on a hell of a lot of backup tapes!
