Symantec Enterprise Vault, Compliance Accelerator, Discovery Accelerator 10.0.1 – Release Details

This document provides information about version 10.0.1 of Enterprise Vault, Compliance Accelerator, and Discovery Accelerator.

When you perform a new installation of Enterprise Vault, follow the instructions in the Installing and Configuring guide. The guide is in the Documentation folder on the Enterprise Vault 10.0.1 media.

If you want to upgrade from an earlier version of Enterprise Vault, follow the instructions in the Upgrading to Enterprise Vault 10.0.1 guide, which is available on the Enterprise Vault 10.0.1 media. The latest version of this guide is available from the link below.

Before you install or upgrade to Enterprise Vault 10.0.1, download and read the latest release notes from the locations below:

There are also Service Pack 4 (SP4) for Symantec Compliance Accelerator 6.0  and Service Pack 3 (SP3) for Symantec Discovery Accelerator 6.0

NSF migrator: NSF migrator is a wizard, which you can use to migrate the contents of Lotus Notes NSF files to Enterprise Vault.

Vault cache provides local access to archived items: The Enterprise Vault extensions for Lotus Notes can maintain a personal vault cache for users who have local replica-based mail.

Windows Desktop Search plug-in [Ref 753216]: This service pack introduces the following changes to the Windows Desktop Search plug-in that is included with the Enterprise Vault Outlook Add-Ins:

Improved support for RAR files [Ref 753099]: Enterprise Vault can now index and generate previews of the contents of RAR files. Previously, support for RAR files was limited to listing the names of the files in the RAR files.

Updated VCS Cluster Configuration wizard: This service pack comes with version 5.0 of the VCS Cluster Configuration wizard, which lets you set up the components required to run a VERITAS Cluster Server cluster. This is a Symantec-branded version of the wizard to which numerous bug fixes have been made.

FSA support on Windows Server 2008: With Enterprise Vault 2007 SP3, File System Archiving (FSA) can now archive files from Windows 2008 file servers.
