Microsoft Certified Master: Exchange Server 2007
The Microsoft Certified Master: Exchange Server 2007 program provides the most in-depth and comprehensive training that is available today for Microsoft Exchange Server 2007. This three-week training program is delivered by recognized experts from Microsoft and Microsoft Partner organizations.

Training deepens and broadens the technical skills of experienced messaging professionals
Microsoft Certified Master training—a mixture of presentations, white board discussions, and goal-based labs—covers the individual core Exchange Server 2007 technologies as well as broader architectural and operational areas, such as high availability of a messaging service, co-existence and migration, performance analysis and management, and operations. Candidates for this program complete an independent lab exercise as a part of their training, which allows them to develop and apply their learning in an environment where instructor and peer support are readily available.

Certified individuals prove their technical mastery
Candidates who successfully complete the program can expect to have a greatly improved understanding of the Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 platform. Microsoft Certified Masters can design and build customer-specified messaging solutions, and they understand how design decisions affect the final solution. They can troubleshoot and diagnose configuration and performance issues, and they have the detailed knowledge and skills that are required to successfully operate and manage an enterprise-class Exchange Server 2007 infrastructure.

Prince2 Foundation

So that is it, 3 days of life on a Prince2 training course, and I passed with 63 out of 75, which is really cool, so its time to update my CV and upload it jobserve ASAP.

What I found interesting is that the objective of the course is to get you to pass the exam, and not really get a fill grasp of project management … but I would recommended it.  Its like ITIL, you have to “learn” a new language .. Prince2 speak.

I booked it with KnowledgeTrain and the training is in some nice offices in Temple.  Looking to probably book the Prince2 practioner conversion course next week.

Now back to job hunting and concreting my shed bas .. got a ton of aggregate and cement turning up tomorrow .. oh joy!

Deploying a Complex Exchange Server 2007 Organization (v 07Feb2007)
As its name implies, a complex Exchange organization represents the most intricate topology into which Exchange 2007 is deployed. Of the four defined organization models for Exchange 2007 (simple, standard, large, and complex), the complex Exchange organization is the only model that includes multiple Active Directory directory service forests or the use of synchronization technology. This document will provide the planning and deployment information you need to get your complex Exchange 2007 organization up and running.

Deploying a Standard Exchange Server 2007 Organization (v 07Feb2007)
Of the four defined organizational models for Exchange 2007 (simple, standard, large, and complex), the standard Exchange organization represents the most common topology into which Exchange 2007 is deployed. As messaging service needs grow beyond the resource limits of a single computer, separation of Exchange 2007 services onto multiple computers becomes the next topological division: the standard Exchange organization. The standard Exchange organization builds upon the simple Exchange organization by deploying multiple computers running Exchange. This document will provide the planning and deployment information you need to get your standard Exchange 2007 organization up and running.

Deploying a Large Exchange Server 2007 Organization (v 07Feb2007)
Of the four defined organization models for Exchange 2007 (simple, standard, large, and complex), the large Exchange organization is the largest organization model that can be deployed in a single Active Directory directory service forest environment. This document will provide the planning and deployment information you need to get your large Exchange 2007 organization up and running.

Deploying a Simple Exchange Server 2007 Organization (v 07Feb2007)
Of the four defined organization models for Microsoft Exchange 2007 (simple, standard, large, and complex), the simple Exchange organization represents the most basic topology into which Exchange 2007 can be deployed. The simple Exchange organization contains either:
– A single Exchange server that provides all Exchange services and stores all Exchange data for the entire organization.
– Multiple Exchange servers in a topology that includes redundant directory servers and an Edge Transport server in a perimeter network.

Exchange Load Generator (64 bit) (v 08.01.0061)
Use Microsoft Exchange Load Generator (LoadGen) as a simulation tool to measure the impact of MAPI clients on Exchange servers. LoadGen allows you to test how a server running Exchange responds to e-mail loads. To simulate the delivery of these messaging requests, you run LoadGen tests on client computers. These tests send multiple messaging requests to the Exchange server, thereby causing a mail load. LoadGen is a useful tool for administrators who are sizing servers and validating a deployment plan. Specifically, LoadGen helps you determine
if each of your servers can handle the load to which they are intended to carry. Another use for LoadGen is to help validate the overall solution.

We provide an overview of the Cluster Continuous Replication (CCR) features of Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 in this TechNet Labcast. We begin by configuring Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Cluster Services and then installing the active and passive cluster nodes. We conclude by stepping you through the moving of resources between cluster nodes. A labcast is a blend of webcast and virtual lab in which we provide a guided, hands-on learning environment. Watch and listen as we demonstrate different tasks using Microsoft Office Live Meeting, then we switch to a TechNet Virtual Lab where you can try it first-hand. Experts are standing by to answer any questions you may have along the way.

We introduce the topic of our next session, Microsoft Office Outlook Web Access (OWA), by demonstrating ways you can publish Exchange Server 2007 messaging features to a mobile work force. We examine how ISA Server 2006 provides protection for those elements of your network that need to be connected to the outside world. Setting up the correct filters and polices can be tricky; however, we demonstrate how ISA Server 2006 has a number of built-in features that allow you to set up the correct filters and polices using simple wizards. We also describe the polices and filters in ISA Server 2006 and show how you can easily modify them to adapt to any environment.
